The US Naval War College is located in Newport in Rhode Island and is often called NWC. The military school is nationally renowned and service members from different branches of the US military attend the college to earn their Master of Arts.
The US Naval War College was founded back in 1884. It was then a place for the Navy officers to study new and advanced war techniques. Today, this school is the oldest war college and has over 600 graduates each year. There is also long distance education offered and about 1,000 students graduate each year. The graduates have gone ahead to become Admirals and Generals in the military.

What to Expect
US Naval War College has the Naval War Museum within the campus. Officers attend the college for 3 semesters which take 10 months. When it comes to accommodation, the students fall under the accompanied or the unaccompanied. Married service men attend as unaccompanied. Students with accompanied orders must contact the Balfour Beatty Communities. Unaccompanied and the single students live in Consolidated Bachelors Quarters.
