Military Schools for Males

Education and personal success are usually considered as being dependent on one another. This is why people are always interested in joining the best schools, because this insures them a greater chance at success in life. Some of the most valued schools in the entire world are military schools, which prepare their students for military careers. All military schools are open to males, and until recently, females were not allowed in any of them. Here are the top five military schools found in the United States of America:

1.  US Naval Academy, Annapolis, Maryland

Former Alumni:

  • Roger Staubach, NFL quarterback
  • Two Nobel Prize winners
  • 50 astronauts
  • 16 Marshall Scholars

There are few institutions in the entire world valued as much as the U.S. Naval Academy. This institution began to establish its tradition in 1845 and only West Point is an older federal service academy. The number of available positions is 4,400, and the students of this academy are educated to be officers in the United States Navy and Marine Corps.

2.  The U.S. Military Academy, West Point, New York

Nobody can doubt the quality of this institution, which is the oldest one in the United States. This institution was opened in 1802, and it has used and applied the motto “Duty, Honor, Country.” Being one of the most exclusive schools in the entire world, admittance is really difficult, and it is not for everybody. This is one of the military schools that have become coed recently, allowing approximately 15% out of their total numbers to be occupied by women.

3.  Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas

This military school was established in 1954, and it became one of the top institutions of its type in no time. All graduates of this institution are required to serve active duty in the Air Force for a minimum of five years. Students are also given the possibility to serve in another branch of the United States armed services. This is because, if you manage to get admitted in this institution, the government will pay all your expenses for the duration of the school years.
